The DeWalt DW9116 is a 7.2V - 18V One Hour Charger with Automatic Tune-Up Mode. It is used to optimize the performance and life of DeWalt batteries. It is required to leave the battery in the charger for 4 to 10 hours to revitalize the battery, approximately every tenth charge. Every charge gives longer run time and up to 20% more cycle life. It has diagnostics with 5 LED indicators which are used to communicate battery charge status like charged, charging, power line problem, replace pack and battery too hot or too cold.
